Apple has got this so called unshakeable trust. Thank Steve Jobs. iPhone has grown not steadily, but exponentially from the very first phone from 2007. Until iPhone 4, which launched in 2010, there was nothing so dramatic though. Most of the competitors had an edge while people were just beginning to switch to the world of smartphones.
iPhone 4 was a game changer. So was the every subsequent release.
2016. We have the iPhone 7 (7 inch) and 7 plus (5.5 inch), which has an incredible design, hardware and software. iOS 10. Best in class smartphone camera.
The phone which is already available in colours – Rose Gold, Gold, Silver, Black and Jet Black, has a new entrant.
21st March 2017.
For the very first time in the history of iPhone, we have a red colour.
Welcome, (PRODUCT) RED version of iPhone 7 and 7 plus.
So, why red? What’s so special about this one? Why not pink, white or yellow?
According to Apple, every purchase of a red coloured iPhone 7 or 7 plus will contribute to a Global fund to support HIV/AIDS programs. This is an initiative which aims at creating an AIDS free generation.
(PRODUCT) RED is a brand which raises awareness and generates funds to help eliminate HIV/AIDS in Africa. It is licensed to partner companies such as Nike, American Express (UK), Apple Inc., The Coca-Cola Company, Starbucks, Converse, Electronic Arts, Head, Gap, Armani, Beats Electronics etc.
Apple has been doing this since 2006, collecting a phenomenal $65 million towards the cause, through some of its other products such as iPods, iPad lineup and also from cases and covers.
Other than that, the phone’s internals continues to be the same and so does the design. Both the phones will be available only in 128GB and 256GB options.
If you want one in India, it is not yet available yet. It will be available starting from April.
I wish Apple just contributed to such noble causes for every phone it sells.
Thank you 🙂
